Transport Secretary, Odisha's letter number 13531, dated 22.11.2023, the whole state and our district, Subarnapur, will be observed from the 1st of December to the 7th of next week. On this occasion, all the intellectuals and public of the district are requested by the district administration and the transport department to follow the systematic rules for road safety while driving. 5000 people die every year. How to reduce this death rate has become a matter of concern and concern for everyone. From last April 1st to 7th, the government implemented this program through various departments and succeeded in reducing the death rate from 40% to 28.6%.According to the information, the annual death toll due to accident in the whole country is 1.50 lakh, while in our state Odisha, 5000 people die every year.Therefore, all the public, vehicle owners and other voluntary organizations are advised to strictly follow the rules while driving the two-wheelers and must wear a helmet and not drive without a driving license, otherwise a fine of Rs. 5000/- will be imposed if caught. A fine of Rs.10,000/- will be levied if caught driving while under the influence of intoxication. Again, not to carry any passenger in the goods vehicle, not to use mobile phones while driving, not to carry more than the specified weight in the vehicle, to ensure the use of seat belts while driving heavy and light vehicles and not to drive the vehicle at more than the speed limit. Parking of vehicles in the wrong places is prohibited l Two-wheelers are not allowed to seat more than two persons and both riders and drivers are advised to wear helmets. All parents are requested to send their boys and girls below 18 years of age to school. And don't allow them to drive the vehicle while going to college otherwise strict action will be taken against the parents along with a fine of Rs.25000/ The Collector cum Regional Transport Authority, Subarnapur Mr. Bimalendu Ray has appealed to all the public to save many precious lives by strictly following all the above rules and helping to build a healthy society for our district.
